HPP secures permission for a new care centre

St Vincents Therapeutic Care Centre is a well established charity based in Cheltenham which provides care for severely disabled adults. They have outgrown a their current premises and Hunter Page Planning has recently gained permission for a new state of the art, low profile 12 bed residential/respite facility and activities centre.

Located within a Grade II listed park, the impact of the proposal on the parkland setting was an issue of contention for the local authority.  However, through a carefully considered design and a series of presentations to key consultees and stakeholders we were able to draw on a high level of support for the proposals from English Heritage, the local architect’s panel and local residents.

While there was some opposition to the scheme the application was approved at committee.
