Regional Spatial Strategy for the South West - 2006-2026

On behalf of David Wilson Estates, Hunter Page's Strategic Planning Team has successfully promoted a 300ha greenfield site as an Urban Extension to Swindon to meet the sub-regional growth needs to 2026. The site has been identified as the future direction of growth to meet sub-regional needs within RSS for the South West, which is now being submitted by the Regional Assembly to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

The 300ha town expansion site comprises the bulk of land identified as accommodating around 12,000 new homes based around new neighbourhoods, as well as regionally important strategic employment sites, rapid links to the town centre and substantial Community Forest, recreation and ecology corridors.

In liaison with Swindon Borough Council and the Regional Agencies, work is now commencing on the preparation of detailed Master Planning and the delivery of a sustainable 21st Century urban extension to maintain Swindon as on of the Country's primary economic engines.

Mixed Use Development
We have secured planning permission for a prestigious new mixed use development in Bradford-on-Avon that involved careful negotiation with English Heritage, the local planning authority and key interest groups in the town. The resulting development will provide an enhancement to the economy of the town and the character of the conservation area.

Live/Work Developments
HPP has recently gained planning permission for the largest rural based live/work development in the Country. The scheme provides 74 live/work units along with market residential, key worker dwelling and office space. The scheme is situated on Swindon Road, Malmesbury, Wiltshire and was undertaken on behalf of the Minton Group
